Sick Day

So, when when I woke up Wednesday morning, I went to check on Lainee (because it seemed too late for her to still be asleep) and found that she had thrown up on her bed and then had fallen back to sleep. So I stripped her bedding and put it all in the wash (which I had just done the day before due to a leaky diaper, uggh).

So she had a nice bath and got into some nice clean clothes, and was acting pretty much normal so I didn't think she was actually sick until.... I picked her up out of the high chair after breakfast and.... SPLASH.... a whole strawberry yogurt comes right back up from the poor girl... and on to the carpet.... three different times/places in a matter of a few minutes. So not fun!
______________
So here's what she did all day.
Sat on the couch. Drank what ever water she could hold down (which wasn't much).

read books with Mom, and watched Mary Poppins.

This poor little munchkin threw up EIGHT times or more through out the day, the last one before bed being the biggest all over the kitchen and down Mom's legs. Needless to say, I went though alot of old rags, soap, and laundry detergent. She was acting pretty normal for feeling so yucky though. She's so tough.

The next morning I got to accompany Lainee to her very first gymnastics class!
I will blog about that later.
...and she was doing awesome until dinner Thursday night and one more sad splash on the high chair tray. More rags, more soap, another load of laundry, and one more bath. Anyway, today is friday and so far all her breakfast and lunch are staying down.
Hope I didn't ruin anyone's appetite with this story!

Overall this Mom thing is AWESOME, but I don't look forward to the many days like that in years ahead.

Candied Apples on a Stick

..... Make my tummy go two-forty-six :)

Monday night Chris and Kyly came over for Corn Chowder and then we made caramel apples with chocolate and other good things on them!

Mmmm... chewy scrumptiousness!

A Week in Washington

Amaree, Garen's brother's wife is from Port Orchard, WA and she wanted to go home during her week off from student teaching, so Lainee and I rode with her and she dropped us off in Moses Lake while our hubbies stayed here to work. It was a good old lazy week with the family.

I didn't take very many pictures but here are a few......
My parents were going to Tri-Cities to clean the temple so Lainee and I rode down with them, and went to the mall while they cleaned. This is lunch at "Nothing But Noodles" before the drive home.

Parker and his buddies chillin' in the basement.

Grandma got a cool doll stroller and Lainee hardly let go of it the whole week.

Here are the few girls my age who are left in Moses Lake. It's fun to catch up with friends from 5th ward.

the last couple weeks...

So I made a deal with one of my groups of gymnasts and ended up owing them homemade oreos. Tried that. It didn't work and I couldn't find my yummy recipe anywhere!
So I showed up empty handed on Monday. But Wednesday....
I brought these! Yum!

**********

Lainee and I got to hang with Tag for half a day while his mama Chelsea was at work.
It was good for Lainee to learn to deal with another kid (and for her to see a little person use the toilet!).
Here they are just playing the day away.

**********

Don't ask me why, but for some reason Lainee thinks stuffing whole cookies (or chicken nuggets or brownies or handfuls of fish crackers) into her mouth at once is so much better than taking bites.

**********
Kelsie- all ready for the homecoming dance in Rigby. She so perty.
I went to help her get ready, but really we sisters-in-law didn't help much.
We just did a lot  of girl talk and heard some good "boy drama" from Kels.
So glad I'm not in high school. haha.

**********

We had a fun night with Kevin and Audrey. Cold Stone and a movie at our place.
We always have so much fun with these two!

(Sorry half my pics are sideways, I'm too lazy to fix them today.)

Top Ten Tuesday

Things I love about fall:

10- It cools off at the gym. I work in a big metal building with no AC and it can get soo hot during the summer!
9- Movie previews. They always release all the good movies during holiday season so now is when we get to see ads for them!
8- Candy Corn!... I know it's ridiculous how stinking early they start putting out Halloween stuff at the store, but I'm a sucker for candy corn.
7- High school football games, and homecoming dances/festivities. I know everyone else is into college football and that's great too but there's just something about the whole "spirit week" thing in little home towns. I love when all the kids come to the gym for practice with their "crazy hair day" do or whatever else. LOVE it.
6- The colors of course. And raking up leaves just so I can jump in them.
5-Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Mmm. (Actually just any baked goodness that you can't do during the summer).
4- Harvest season. TRACTORS out in the fields, and all the fun corn and straw mazes.
3- Only 3 months til Christmas! (Can you even believe that)
2- General conference weekend. I love to watch/listen to all the spiritual messages while in my PJs while I color a good coloring page or do some kind of craft.
1- HUNTING ... actually I'm not a huge fan of my hubby being gone, but that's #1 on his top ten so I put it on here for him:)
