The Gym

Yesterday was going to be a little too windy to swim
for the playdate we had planned,
so we told our friends about open gym
at Gymcats and we all had lots of fun!
Emma and Sophie.

Will.

Lainee.
(spent most of the time waiting in line
to jump on the big trampoline.)

I would have just posted the only one of these pictures
that actually turned out, but...
None of them did and I think it's a bit
more realistic when you can see all of them anyway.
Enjoy.

What We Do

The things we take pictures of
during everyday life...

Lainee wanted to get out and walk.
Jace wanted to look at her.
This is how he ended up. ha.

Lainee recently learned to write her name
all by herself!

Just playing on the grass, doing sidewalk chalk,
and blowing bubbles.

Mom's camera= Every baby's favorite mystery chew toy.

"There's bubbles on Baby's BUM!"
*screaming giggles*

More practice writing her own name...
and now Brother's name too!

Jace and Mr. Frog helping make the bed.

Lainee's cool straddle jump on the russian tramp
at open gym.
(crazy arms and all!)

Mother's Day 2013!

My hair is doing wierd things and Lainee's lips are blue from a sucker she ate,
but other than that, this is a perfect picture of the two people I spend all my time with every day of the year! I love my babies and being their mom =)

Pre-Preschool

Monday was our last day with Lainee's
"pre-preschool" group.
We'll miss it!

Back in the fall when school started,
some ladies in our ward who have kids in
Lainee's nursery class
invited us to do a little "pre-preschool"
group with them. We just rotated to each house
once a week, and we moms taught the lessons.

I think most of these kiddos already knew most of their
letters and numbers, etc. but they did learn a few new things
and it was a really good opportunity for them
to practice listening, following directions,
taking turns, and of course more practice of
what they already know.

I think Lainee and I both loved it and I definitely want
to do it again, and with my kids to come!

cool concert. cool friends.

We went to a super AWESOME concert with our super awesome friends,
Katelyn and Shane Haas.

Photo: Tim McGraw's superstar summer Concert! :)
Tim McGraw Superstar Summernights:
It was Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Taylow Swift, Jason Aldeen, Kieth Urban,
Luke Bryan, Lady A, The Band Perry, Florida Georgia Line,
Ne-Yo, Nelly, Jon Fogherty...... WOW!

It was awesome, but soo long!
It's going to be on TV so it was like a stinkin'
recording session and we had to hear most of the songs
twice in a row because the artists weren't satisfied.
And the "finally" was the second song we heard.
Ugh. But still. So cool to see and hear them all in person!

Thanks guys for going with us!

General Conference

I love General Conference.... Mostly because
we get to stay home for church and I don't have to
kill myself half to death getting everyone ready and
hauling all their stuff to the church.

.........PLUS I do love to hear prophets speak.
It's so awesome to be able to listen in the comfort of my
own home in the presence of my own family.

We started a new tradition last year.
We make Orange Julius and Apple Streusel Muffins
for breakfast Sunday morning. Yum.

I also decided to try to get Lainee to start
understanding what's happening during conference.
She knows who President Monson is,
and has flash cards of the apostles
(as seen all over the floor in the picture below)
so during this last conference,

this is what she did:

We would help her recognize which apostle was speaking.
(it's really tricky because to her, they all just have the same
grey hair, sometimes glasses, dark suit and tie).
Then we would find the coloring page with his picture on it.

She would color each prophet or apostle as we listened to him speak.

She enjoyed deciding what color each of their ties would be.
(AND we got to work on staying inside the lines.)

Of course this didn't hold her attention the WHOLE time,
but it helped alot and she did great considering her age. =)

Another great weekend of learning for all of us!
